Possibly you’re neglecting people who surf via lynx on the command line too. They usually only care about the text?

Dominic, you are right. There are more small monitor laptops these days, but many of them have larger resolutions than 800×600. However if you their numbers become substantial we have to ofcourse adjust to it

I’d caution you that 800×600 is far from irrelevant these days. It was rapidly headed that way about a year ago, but then came the EEE PC, and the wealth of other “netbooks”. Almost all of them have an 800×480 screen.
