This will be a short post.
I bought a camera last March from CircuitCity. They convinced me to buy the protection plan which means they would fix/give me a new camera if anything happens to it or I accidentally break it. They went on and on about how fast (they claimed at most a week) I would get a new camera if anything happens to it and how great the service was.
Well, my camera got some dead pixels and some of the motors (for the lens) weren’t working. So I took to CircuitCity to use my protection plan. I gave it to them 20 days ago, when I asked them about it today, they said it is in the repair shop and couldn’t tell me when I would ge it.
The guy didn’t even apologize for the delay, rather told me, this is how its done and he can’t help me anymore. When I asked him to call their protection plan department he told me to find their number from my receipt and call them myself.
This is the sort of thing that has caused CircuitCity’s stock go from $30 a share to $1.68 (today).
