About a week ago I made a post about Circuit City’s Awful customer service, regarding the way they have handled the protection plan that I had bought for my camera.
Yesterday, I went to Circuit City again to get an update. NOTHING had changed, they said that their repair shop was still waiting for parts and did not know when my camera would be back at my house. It was really frustrating. It is now almost a month that I have been waiting for my camera.
When I complained to the main manager, she told me how she didn’t “appreicate me being mad at them and it was the repair shop fault”. When I asked her wheteher I should go to Texas to their repair shop for a complain, she said “If you want to complain you should go there”.
This is really awful, disgusting, terrible customer service which is in my oppinion the reason Circuit City’s stock has fallen to $1.68 from close to $30 in 2006.
I got the phone number to the district manager of Circuit City. I am going to write an open letter (I will publish it on my blog) and call him during the next couple days. We will wait for an answer from him.
What would I have expected to happen? After almost a month of nothing (and what seems to be another month of no camera back for me), Circuit City manager should have apologized and gave me a new camera (same brand, same old model) or some sort of Circuit City gift card.
