I bought this webcam about 3 weeks ago. It is my first webcam so my review is not really comparing the webcam to the other ones on market, rather commenting on pros and cons of this one.
In short, it is amazing. It is great. The quality of the videos/images are superb (up to 1600 by 1200 which is HD quality).
I haven’t had any problems getting it to work with any software other than Trillian. I don’t know why it doesn’t work fine with that, but I’ll write about it once I figure it out.
The features are very neat and plenty. You can choose for the camera to follow “Your Face” and move around as you do. You can replace some other face/image with your own while webcaming for privacy reasons. You can adjust the blur, brightness, contrast, and all those good things too. It also has a built-in microphone. The fact that it is on a tall stand is a nice feature by itself as you are not bound to put it on top of your monitor. You can actually move it around, use it on different computers (easily) and more.
It does have some drawbacks. At $129.99, it is a little pricey. Also, the fact that it has to mount (stay) on its tall stand, makes it hard to use the webcam with a laptop.
