This past weekend was a long weekend thanks to the Martin Luther King holiday.

We got a group together and went to Reza Restaurant in Chicago. It was great. Amazing Iranian food, great service and more. We don’t have any Iranian restaurants around where I live, so we use every chance to go up to Chicago.

Reza Restaurnat

There are two main Iranian restaurants in Chicago - Reza & Noon-Kabob. I’ve never been to Noon-Kabob but all those who had gone to both agreed that Reza has much better food. Reza Restaurant has couple different locations. We went to the one on Ontario Ave.

I had some Lamb Chops with rice and it definitely was the best lamb I’ve ever had before. I had been to Reza’s before, but always had Barg or Soltani or Koubideh there. The picture below is a stock image and not the actual food, but it looked just as good too.

Lamb Chops

I paired my Lamb Chops with a nice glass of Cabernet. Othes had Soltani, White Fish, Lamb Shank, and Ghormeh Sabzi. We all had some of each others food and it was great.

It is interesting that in Reza Restaurant you see more non-Iranians than Iranians. It is very close to downtown Chicago and a lot of business men go there as well. I wish I could find a picture of the restaurant itself, but I can’t.

Bottom line, if you have never tried the food there, definitely find a place in your schedule for it.
