Here are some pointers for shooting photos at a night club or indoor parties:
- Timing is very important. Find the good shots and take them.
- Using Flash is a controversial topic. Flash can help you produce better pictures but it will kill the natural posing of the subjects and disturb everyone with the bright lights. So its up to you.
- Try using large aperture (especially without the flash)
- Prime lenses work best. I use a 50mm F1.8 myself.
- If you are using digital camera take as many pictures as you can. You can always dump them on your computer and erase the memory card.

50mm lens is no good. you can only catch a head and shoulder with that unless youre standing on the far side of the room which risks someone else walking into your picture as you try to snap it. a a 16 or 17mm is best so you can capture more things close up.
